Jeremy Renner suffers injuries in Thai bar brawl

Jeremy Renner has suffered minor injuries in a barroom brawl that saw two other men get stabbed.

The Avengers actor was apparently club-hopping with a group of friends in Phuket, Thailand on Wednesday (January 4), when Renner's friend Vorasit Issara dropped a glass on the floor.

The accident apparently caused a fight to break out between Renner's entourage and bar employees, says The Phuket News.

Issara, who is general manager of the Siri Panwa Resort, was reportedly stabbed in the neck and stomach with a rotor axe during the scuffle.

The men who attacked Renner and his friends were arrested at the scene and are being charged with attempted murder.

Thai news agencies have reported that Issara and another stabbing victim, Noppadon Preechawa, were rushed to a local hospital as soon as police broke up the altercation.

Renner was also briefly hospitalised for a hand injury, but was eventually released.
