The Muppets star was asked out by Chelsea Gill, who posted a song on YouTube in which she plays the guitar and insists that she is not crazy.
Segel quickly responded on Twitter on Wednesday (January 4) night, posting the video in question on his account.
"My favourite thing, maybe ever. I am in awe. Response on the way," he wrote. "I'm gonna need a couple days on this one."
In November, Segel credited Jim Henson's Muppets with helping him accept other people's difference as a child.
The actor has said his goal in making The Muppets was to revive the characters for young kids.
The Muppets is currently playing in US cinemas and opens on February 17 in the UK.
