Richard Madeley: 'David Walliams bombards me with obscene texts'

Richard Madeley has admitted to receiving "obscene" and "blatantly sexual" text messages from David Walliams.
The former This Morning presenter joked about the close bond he shares with the 40-year-old funnyman.
"David Walliams is incredibly rude and sends me the most obscene texts," Madeley told The Mirror. "They are so blatantly sexual - there's not even any innuendo in them.
"Judy Finnigan and I interviewed him years ago on our Channel 4 chatshow when he was promoting Little Britain and we've been friends ever since. We went to his wedding as well."
Madeley jested that Walliams had not even been put off by the time he burnt a prized possession of the Come Fly with Me star at a lunch with Finnigan, Matt Lucas and Jamie Oliver.
"Everyone was knocking back the champagne," the 55-year-old recalled. "David had left his beautiful bespoke umbrella by the bannister near some candles and it caught fire. It was totally destroyed and David wasn't happy."
Walliams was this week confirmed to judge the next series of Britain's Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
