Snoop Dogg arrested for drug possession

The 'Sweat' rapper was detained in Texas after a sniffer-dog found marijuana on his tour bus, according to TMZ.
His tour bus was stopped by border patrol in Sierra Blanca, West Texas, which is the same place that Willie Nelson was arrested in 2010 for the same offence.
Sources claimed that a red prescription bottle was found with just under an ounce of marijuana inside.
The rapper reportedly admitted that the drugs belonged to him. He owns a prescription for cannabis in California, but Texas currently has a zero tolerance police for the drug.
He was given a citation for misdemeanour drug possession and was later released. He could face up to 180 days in jail if convicted of the drug charge.
Snoop Dogg recently won $72,585 (£46,808) for charity after taking part in The Price is Right.
