The Darkness' Justin goes into rehab

Justin Hawkins has made the decision to go into London rehabilitation clinic The Priory.

The Darkness frontman was driven to the popular celebrity retreat at the weekend by a friend, after health problems recently forced him to pull out of a scheduled festival performance in Denmark.

Apparently the singer's troubles are related to the recent downturn in his band's fortunes. Whilst they received acclaim with their first album, the follow-up One Way Ticket To Hell...And Back failed to appear in the Top 10.

A source told the Mirror: "Justin's been feeling really low of late and he wanted to go somewhere he could clear his head. He's been looking terrible at the moment. His skin's taken on a weird yellowy pallor. The Priory really is the best place for him."
