The CSI: New York actor will ask the Temecula, CA city council this week for permission to organise the special gig, reports The Los Angeles Times.
Proceeds from the event would go to building a home for Marine Lance Cpl. Juan Dominguez, who lost his right arm and his legs in the Afghanistan war.
Sinise will apparently work with his charitable foundation to promote the concert as well as perform at the event with his Lt. Dan Band.
The actor previously stressed the importance of helping veterans when they come home from war.
"To knock on the door with a meal or a 'What do you need?' can make a big difference in somebody's life. Whenever I see a group of soldiers sitting in a restaurant, I buy them dinner," he said last November.
Sinise's benefit show is currently scheduled for March 1 in Temecula.
