Channing Tatum recalls awful New Year's Day hike

Channing Tatum has opened up about his recent camping experience.

The Haywire star revealed that he and his wife Jenna Dewan decided to ring in the New Year by going camping, only for the trip to turn out awful.

"We came back [from hiking] and I was hungry... and I looked into the cooler and there's a beautiful Subway sandwich sitting in some old cooler water... and so I wolfed that thing down," Tatum told late night host Jimmy Kimmel.

"I wake up around four and I'm like, 'I'm gonna throw up up'," he continued. "My beautiful wife takes me down to the public restroom that was in this camp and I'm just basically hugging the toilet."

The actor went on to say that he and his wife then mistook a stump for a mountain lion.

"My wife came in and said, 'Baby... there's a mountain lion outside!'" he recalled. "I go outside and yep, there's a mountain lion sitting right up on the ridge and it's looking dead at me... Now I'm looking for weapons... I grabbed the flashlight and we start to slowly inch out… and I look up and it's not moving at all and then I realised it's a stump."



Tatum also developed a terrible poison oak rash.

The 31-year-old is currently at work on the stripper movie Magic Mike.

The actor is rumoured to be joining The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Haywire will be released on January 20, 2012.
