Doherty knew passport photos were invalid?

Pete Doherty's invalid passport photos had already been turned down once before, the Daily Star claims today.

The Babyshambles frontman cancelled a gig in Ibiza this week after his application for a temporary passport was rejected.

A source told the newspaper, "All the stuff about his passport running out while he was in rehab is true, but Pete knew the new pictures he sent in wouldn't work. He'd sent them in before and because his head was at the wrong angle, he'd been refused.

"Either he just forgot he'd tried already or, to avoid looking bad in front of his fans, he used them as an excuse."
