Halle Berry 'engagement' ring was gift, not proposal?

It was first reported on Wednesday that the actress had accepted a proposal from Martinez after she was spotted wearing an emerald and gold ring on her wedding finger as she dined in LA last week.
While jewellery designer Gurhan came forward as the designer of the ring, it has since been claimed that the accessory was simply a gift from Olivier to Berry, not a marriage proposal.
A source told TMZ that while the couple are in a "committed relationship" and that marriage "could be on the cards" in the future, a wedding is not on the immediate horizon.
The pair first confirmed their romance during a trip to Paris in September 2010.
Berry was previously married to former professional baseball star David Justice for five years and to Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005.
