The rapper will document his time spent in New York's Rikers Island prison in 2010 in a book entitled Gone Till November, presumably in reference to Wyclef Jean's 1998 song of the same name.
The 'Lollipop' performer was in jail serving a gun charge, and has now secured a deal with Grant Central Publishing.
The company's Ben Greenberg said: "We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne's prison memoir. He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing."
Lil Wayne unveiled plans to launch a skateboarding clothing line last month.
