Brian McFadden has said that he hopes The Sun, Daily Star and The Mirror all follow the News of the World in being closed down.
As various newspaper editors speak at the Leveson inquiry, the former Westlife singer explained his feelings about the tabloid press.

"Fingers crossed that the sun, the daily star and mirror meet the same fate as the news of the world," he said on Twitter.
"Maybe they should keep the sports. I Do love the sports."
Former News of the World showbiz editor Dan Wootton responded: "Silly thing to say Brian. You've also had a lot of support from the British press during your career as well."
McFadden said: "A lot more heartship been caused to me and my family than support."
Wootton countered: "I'm not saying that's right. But to want over 1,000 people to lose their jobs & three newspapers to shut down is going too far."
McFadden replied: "Compassion is a two way street."
The singer later added: "Weird, but I feel guilty about what I said about the papers. I wonder if journalists ever feel guilty when they write things about people?"
McFadden today announced his engagement to DJ and model Vogue Williams with a picture spread in the Australian edition of OK magazine
He split from long-term partner Delta Goodrem last April.
