Heather Locklear is doing well and is out of danger, say parents

Heather Locklear's parents have said that the actress is "doing well" following her hospitalisation on Thursday (January 12).

The Melrose Place star was rushed to a Los Angeles medical centre yesterday afternoon, when her sister placed a call to emergency services.

It has been reported that Locklear - who completed a stint in rehab in 2010 for prescription drug addiction - had mixed alcohol and prescription drugs, but that has not been confirmed by her family.

Locklear's parents have now assured her fans that she is currently conscious and resting comfortably in stable condition, according to KCAL.

"[We] wanted everybody to know that she's doing well, she's fine, she's not in any danger, she's healthy," Heather's parents William and Diane commented through a hospital spokesperson.

Locklear had last been seen in public at an LA Lakers game at the Staples Centre on Tuesday.

In November, Lockler called off her engagement to her former Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner.

Wagner later commented that he and Locklear "still love each other very much", but split because planning a wedding put too much pressure on their relationship.
