Johanna Griggs has revealed that her life finally makes sense to her.
The Australian television personality, who quit her job as a newsreader last year in order to spend more time with her sons Jesse and Joe, said that she has found "inner peace" since moving to a farm in the Hunter Valley with husband Todd Huggins.
Griggs told New Idea magazine: "Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted a farm of my own, so I couldn't believe my luck when I met Todd and discovered he felt the same way.
"Once we started looking and found [our house], I knew instantly it was special - I had goose bumps. There was something that hit us both right away - a feeling of calm and inner peace - so when we learnt the whole valley was historically a place of Aboriginal healing, it all made sense. It's what I love about the bush - that tranquility."
Describing herself as someone who has always loved "being outside", Griggs said that there is "something in the air" in the country that feels like it's "so good for the soul".
She said: "At the farm it's good, clean fun the way it used to be back in my childhood. In terms of our family life, this is the best decision we've ever made."
Huggins added: "Even our little dogs get excited when they see Joh get out her dirty workboots because they know that means it's farm time. They love it too! We feel so lucky because our great idea has turned into something really special for all of us."
