Elle Macpherson: 'Concentrate on how you feel, not your silhouette'

Elle Macpherson has insisted that she tries not to place too much emphasis on her looks.

The supermodel revealed that while she likes to stay fit, she tries not to obsess about her body and instead takes part in healthy activities that she enjoys.



"Listen, have fun. Do lots of sport. Don't worry about your silhouette, worry about how you feel. That's what I say to myself - 'How do I feel today?'" Macpherson explained to People.

"I do sport because I love it. I'm Australian, and I have an outdoor life. And maybe that's what people see. I surf, I snow ski, I water ski, I ride a horse, I hike, I paddleboard."

However, the Fashion Star host went on to say that she never deprives herself of some of her favourite foods, adding: "I had chicken fingers and fries at lunch. I was so hungry. You can check my room service bill."

Macpherson recently dismissed reports that she would take over for Sarah Murdoch as host of Australia's Next Top Model.
