Vanessa Lachey: 'I've learned to take life as it comes'

Vanessa Lachey has said that she always tries to live in the present.

The Wipeout host revealed that while she is ambitious and has plenty of career goals, she is most looking forward to seeing what her personal life with husband Nick Lachey will bring her in the years to come.

"I think as I've gotten older, I've learned to look at life and take every day as it comes," Vanessa explained in a new interview with Parade.

"Not that I don't have goals and dreams, but now that I'm married, I'm excited to start that next chapter of being a wife and someday being a mum and just moving forward and seeing what life brings me. So far, life has brought me good things: I'm on a great show, I've got great friends, and a good husband, so I'm happy!"

Vanessa, who has previously expressed her desire to start a family with Nick, added that she will easily balance her career once she becomes a mother.

"First and foremost, we have to make the priority each other and everything else falls into place. Yes, work is what makes the world go round and it's our creative outlet, but at the end of the day, your partner is your family and that is your life," she said.
