Peaches Geldof has criticised hit TV series The OC for being a bad influence on young people.
In her new one-off programme Peaches Geldof: Teen America, the aspiring DJ slams the ideals that the popular show encourages, such as looking perfect by whatever means and judging people on their appearance.
The 17-year-old said: “Programmes like The OC are already having a bad effect on people. You see girls and boys being extremely snobby and unwelcoming to people who aren’t beautiful and it’s horrible.
"Shows like this are putting pressure on teenagers, especially on young girls. Because they see these perfect girls on TV they believe the only way they will get accepted by their peers is to have plastic surgery," the outspoken star argued.
