The Contraband star insisted that the situation would have ended differently if he had been on the plane, claiming that he could have saved the flight.
"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did," Wahlberg told Men's Journal.
"There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry'."
Elsewhere, Wahlberg went on to say in the interview that he is anxious at the thought of his oldest daughter going on a date.
"I'm not going to think about that right now," he said. "When the time comes, I will, but it's not a good thought for me to have. Thinking about it really stresses me out, so don't stress me out right now, because that's a stressful thought, OK?"
The actor recently expressed his interest in directing a comedy film.
Wahlberg has said that he hopes to begin shooting The Fighter 2 in the next year.
