A number of Australian female celebrities have gathered in Sydney to vote for CLEO magazine's 'Bachelor of the Year'.

Former Neighbours actress Stephanie McIntosh, model Erika Heynatz, former Celebrity Apprentice contestant Jesinta Campbell and radio star Maude Garrett glanced through a booklet of famous men and members of the public at the Otto in Wooloomooloo to try and decide who should make the top 50 in the competition.

McIntosh, who is believed to be dating 'Bachelor of the Year' competitor and singer Rob Mills, took the opportunity to insist that they are "just friends", telling The Daily Telegraph: "He's a great guy and we hang out when we can."

Other judges included Laura Csortan, Laura Dundovic, Zoe Balbi and Rachel Gilbert. Alex O'Loughlin, Liam Hemsworth and Adam Scott are strongly tipped to make the top 50 bachelors.

In 2011, swimmer Eamon Sullivan took out the top title, but said that he was surprised to have been voted the most eligible male celebrity in the country. "Odds aren't usually the best indicator," he joked. "I would have gone with [Home and Away star] Dan Ewing."

Underbelly: The Golden Mile actor Firass Dirani was CLEO's 'Bachelor of the Year' in 2010.
