Beckhams may be sued over party snub

A man who paid £100,000 to attend the Beckhams' pre-World Cup party has now threatened to sue the couple.
Dave West, 61, splashed out at a charity auction for the NSPCC in the hope that he would be able to mingle with guests such as Robbie Williams and Wayne Rooney. However, West claims that he refused to attend the bash after the Beckhams' staff "patronised" him in a phone call.
"I paid the money in good faith," Dave told the Daily Star. "They just looked down their noses at me. They told me I couldn't even mingle with the other guests.
"This guy talked about everything, including the dress code. I felt I would have been unwelcome and treated badly."
West says that he will sue the Beckhams unless they agree to hand over a further £100,000 to the NSPCC.
A spokesperson for the couple said: "It's in the hands of lawyers."
