Heather Locklear 'attended secret rehab after Jack Wagner split'

Heather Locklear is said to have secretly checked into rehab following her split from fiancé Jack Wagner.

The former Melrose Place actress, who called off her engagement to Wagner in November, sought treatment at an unnamed facility shortly after the relationship ended, reports US Weekly.

According to a source close to the pair, Wagner had repeatedly begged Locklear to seek help for her alcohol addiction, an issue which recently led to her hospitalisation after she overdosed on a combination of liquor and prescription pills.

"Heather has been out of control for many years. Her drinking has caused her to fall out of many friendships," the insider explained.

"She doesn't get out of bed most days. Jack kept her on the straight and narrow, but he couldn't keep Heather sober. [He] begged her to go to rehab."

Locklear apparently entered a treatment programme shortly after the relationship ended but soon left as she "didn't take it seriously".

It was recently suggested that Locklear's family wants her back in hospital, with additional reports claiming that she is considering a return to rehab.
