Ryan Seacrest: 'Kim Kardashian starting to feel better post-split'

Ryan Seacrest has said that he was "truly surprised" when Kim Kardashian confirmed her separation from Kris Humphries after 72 days of marriage.
The American Idol host serves as executive producer on the Kardashian family's franchise of television shows, including Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kourtney & Kim Take New York!
During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday alongside American Idol judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, Seacrest was asked for his thoughts on Kardashian's decision to end the marriage.
"I was surprised," he replied. "I really was truly surprised. I've known her for a long time and she's really gone through it with this.
"I feel like she is finally coming out of it and feeling better about it, but I was at home lying in bed when she called me to tell me and I thought, 'Really?'. I couldn't believe it."
Jackson then interrupted to claim that he was "visibly upset" over the split, prompting Seacrest to joke: "Nobody was more upset than Randy Jackson!"
Kardashian and Humphries married in front of TV cameras in Montecito, California on August 20. Their vows were later broadcast as a two-part special on E! called Kim's Fairytale Wedding. Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31, citing "irreconcilable differences".
Seacrest can be seen on the 11th season of American Idol, which airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox.
