Katie Price gets Equestrian Social Media Award nomination

Katie Price has been nominated in the 'Celebrity' category for this year's Equestrian Social Media Awards.

The glamour model and horse rider faces competition in her category from the likes of sports journalist Claire Balding, Ian 'H' Watkins of Steps, TV personality Martha Stewart, Top Gear star Richard Hammond and actor William Shatner.

Other categories in the awards include YouTube channel, Facebook, Twitter, Charity, Professional Rider and Amateur Rider

"Ive been nominated for the equestrian social media awards in celeb category please vote for me at equestriansocialmediaawards.com/voting," Price wrote on Twitter.

Price is a well-known equestrian who in 2009 was named one of the most influential figures in the countryside by Country Life magazine.

The same year she was reported to have spent £150,000 on a dressage horse, which she named Cross-Dresser in reference to her then-partner Alex Reid.

She had called another of her horses "The B*llocks".

Previously, gay dressage rider Spencer Wilton was forced to deny reports that he was connected to Price's split from Peter Andre.

A year earlier, Price said that being banned from the Cartier Polo International event was "pure snobbery".

"However good a horsewoman I am, I'm also a glamour model," she said. "That embarrassed them."
