Brandon Routh has announced that he is engaged to actress Courtney Ford.
The Superman Returns star has been dating Ford for three years after meeting while he was working as a bartender at the rehearsal dinner for her brother's wedding.
Routh's representative Kacey Spies told People magazine: "They are very happy."
The couple plan to marry next autumn.
