The Harry Potter author, who ended her association with the Christopher Little Agency in June, has settled the matter out of court.
"JK Rowling and her former agent, Christopher Little, have reached an amicable agreement concluding their long-standing business relationship, the terms of which remain confidential," a spokesman said. "No further comments will be issued by either party."
Little, 69, had previously told The Daily Telegraph that he was "disappointed and surprised" to hear that Rowling had "terminated her association" with his company.
Rowling defected to one of Little's business partners, Neil Blair, shortly after launching Harry Potter fan website Pottermore.
She is currently writing several new projects but has previously confessed that she is unsure whether she would ever write another Harry Potter book.
