Samantha Armytage 'recovering from car accident'

Samantha Armytage has been involved in a car accident.

The 34-year-old Australian television personality - best known for her roles on Sunrise and Dancing with the Stars Australia - crashed into another vehicle yesterday (January 25) while driving to the gym in the rain.

According to the Herald Sun, Armytage is making a good recovery from whiplash, but faces thousands of dollars' worth of damage to her car.

Armytage was recently romantically linked to hotelier Peter De Angelis. The pair reportedly first met ten years ago, but recently bumped into each other and started dating.

A friend of the breakfast television star said: "Sam is happier than she's ever been."

Last year, Armytage split from her live-in builder boyfriend Sean. Soon afterwards, she said: "[The split] was going to happen anyway. I am fine, happily single and happy to hear any offers."

During her stint on Dancing with the Stars, she spoke about her past body issues, saying that doing the show was "terrifying", but helped her to feel "proud" of her body.
