Kristen Bell: 'Dax Shepard and I are hillbillies'

Kristen Bell has joked that she and fiancé Dax Shepard are "hillbillies".

The House of Lies actress confessed that despite their successful Hollywood careers, the couple still tend to live a modest lifestyle in case things come to an abrupt end.

"I always assume my career's going to end tomorrow, you know what I mean?" Bell said in an interview with Flaunt.

"You tend to always be prepared for the end, even if you get out. We're hillbillies at heart, and I'm not f**king ashamed of that."

Bell went on to say that her relationship with Shepard has allowed her to become more comfortable in herself, adding: "I would like to be called on my bulls**t. I stopped chasing perfection in every definition of the word. In career, in vanity, in anywhere I could apply it.

"I think perfection is unrealistic and unattainable, and I felt freed when I let myself be who I am."

Bell, who announced her engagement to Shepard in 2010, recently insisted that she does not want a wedding and the pair will most likely never legally marry.
