Amanda Holden to spend second week in hospital after near-fatal birth

Amanda Holden is to spend a second week in hospital as she recovers from the traumatic birth of her daughter Hollie, sources have claimed.
The Britain's Got Talent judge welcomed her second child with husband Chris Hughes last Monday (January 23), but collapsed shortly after and underwent a number of transfusions to combat the loss of "several pints" of blood.

Hollie, meanwhile, was placed on a respirator in a special care unit due to breathing problems. Mother and daughter were eventually reunited on Wednesday (January 25).
Holden had expected to spend up to five days in hospital recovering from an emergency caesarean, but is allegedly still trying to "get her energy back" after the life-threatening complications.
"She is recovering but is a few days behind compared to a standard caesarean because of the problems she had," a source told The Mirror. "We're hoping she'll get her energy back at the weekend.
"She's been through hell but won't mind because she had a beautiful baby girl."
Holden and Hughes are already parents to 6-year-old daughter Alexa.
