Jon Gosselin, Ellen Ross split due to 'media intrusion'

Jon Gosselin has split from his girlfriend of two years.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star called ended his relationship with Ellen Ross after the couple were said to not be getting along recently.

The reality TV man's partner apparently had a distaste for the media, which didn't help their spats, according to Radar Online.

A source said that the intrusion was the main reason for them parting ways.

"Ellen didn't like the media attention and other things that came with the relationship. That's one of the main reasons they broke up," they said.

Although Ross denied they had broken up over a week ago, Gosselin later confirmed it was over.

He wrote on Twitter: "Recently, after much thought and discussion, Ellen and I have decided to end our relationship. It was a mutual decision and we are both happy and remain best friends."
