Demi Moore 'doing great' after collapse, says friend Patty Jenkins

Demi Moore is "doing great" following her hospitalisation last week, close friend Patty Jenkins has claimed.

The Ghost star collapsed on Monday night (January 23) and was later rumoured to be suffering from exhaustion and anorexia.



A 911 call leaked after her discharge from hospital on Thursday (January 26) suggested that Moore had "smoked something" before she began to feel unwell, while others have said that the 49-year-old is struggling to "prove" herself as an actor, mother and role model.

Jenkins - the one-time director of Thor 2 - has since played down the reports by insisting that Moore's hospitalisation is not as troubling as speculation had made out.

"I just saw her and she's doing great... much better than it's made out to be," The Mirror quotes her as saying. "Demi is awesome and so strong. She's great."

Kirstie Alley, another celebrity friend of Moore, has similarly declared that the actress will "work through her problems".

Moore separated from husband Ashton Kutcher in November following allegations that he had an affair.
