McFly Danny Jones: 'Girlfriend has rejected five marriage proposals'

McFly singer Danny Jones has revealed that his girlfriend Georgia Horsley has rejected five marriage proposals.

The 'All About You' star said that marriage is something of a "sore subject", having been turned down repeatedly over the course of his two-year relationship.



"I've asked my girlfriend to marry me five times now and she's said no," he told the Daily Star. "So I don't think we'll be heading down the aisle this year. It's a bit of a sore subject."

Jones will instead serve as best man to his bandmate Tom Fletcher, who proposed to girlfriend Giovanna Falcone last April.



On what role the rest of McFly will play at the ceremony, Jones teased: "We're all going to be best man at Tom's wedding. We're thinking we could sing him a song instead of doing speeches."

McFly star Harry Judd said shortly after his Strictly Come Dancing win that he wants a "romantic and spontaneous" proposal to girlfriend Izzy Johnston, while Dougie Poynter - champion of the last I'm a Celebrity series - declared that he would be "mental" not to marry his partner.
