Sheryl Crow reveals her shock at learning about possible food choices that can cause or accelerate cancer.
The singer recently won a battle with breast cancer, but was astounded by the information doctors gave her about the sources of carcinogens, such as bottles of water left in hot cars.
She told Contactmusic: "If it (plastic bottle) gets hot it's omitting by-products that act as cancer...To heat in plastic, to freeze in plastic, it omits carcinogenics, and cooking in olive oil at a high heat; if it's burning it's carcinogenic."
The star also expressed her eagerness to warn people about the risks they could be taken without knowing. "There are things we need to know and we need to educate people about eating organically," she stated.
