Aerosmith bassist diagnosed with cancer

Tom Hamilton has been forced to drop out of a tour with his band Aerosmith after being diagnosed with throat cancer.
The bassist has recently completed a seven-week course of radiotherapy, a spokeswoman told Reuters.
However, he hopes to have recovered enough to join the band on the road again by the middle of October.
