Heidi Klum thanks fans for support following Seal split

Heidi Klum has thanked her fans for their support following her split with Seal.

The German-born supermodel took to Twitter this morning where she told followers she appreciates their reaction to the sad news that she and her British singer husband would be parting ways.

"Hi everyone, I want to thank u for all your support & kind words," she wrote. "Really means so much. Thanks again...to the best fans in the world! xoHeidi"

While Seal, 48, has spoken publicly about their break-up, the mother-of-four had remained silent. Up until Tuesday, the regular tweeter hadn't posted anything on her profile for two weeks.

Speaking to Piers Morgan Tonight about a possible reconciliation, Seal had said: "It may happen, I can't speak for her. Is it irreparable? You can never say never. The thing I love most about us is that we are a team… that won't change, whether we get back together or not.

"I don't know at this point, to be honest [if I want to reconcile]. If it were that easy - if there weren't problems, we'd still be together.

"That is the reality. My love for her has not waned one iota. I love her with all my heart. How can you not love somebody [who] you've spent eight years with?"
