'Southland's Regina King on dating Malcolm-Jamal Warner: 'It's fate'

Regina King has suggested that it was destiny that she began dating Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
King and the former Cosby Show actor have been friends for years, but only recently began dating each other.
In an interview with Parade, King said she and Warner's love blossomed at exactly the right time.
"I believe the universe has a plan, and we probably wouldn't have been ready years ago," the actress explained. "We both had to do whatever we had to do to be ready for each other now."
King went through an acrimonious split in 2006, when she and ex-husband Ian Alexander, Sr decided to divorce after nine years of marriage.
The actress is currently appearing on Southland, airing Tuesdays at 10/9c on TNT.
