Matt Golinski's condition has reportedly improved in hospital.
The Australian celebrity chef, who is best known for his role on Channel Ten's Ready Steady Cook, is slowly recovering in hospital from third degree burns sustained in the Boxing Day house fire that claimed the lives of his wife and three young daughters.
According to The ABC, Golinski remains in a heavily sedated state in the intensive care unit at Royal Brisbane Hospital and is in a critical but stable condition.
His father Keith revealed that his son is still unable to walk or talk, but has had short bouts of semi-consciousness in the past week.
Keith also thanked hospital staff for their hard work and praised his son for his spiritual and physical strength.
Matt will probably remain in hospital for months as he recovers from the burns to 40% of his body. He is believed to have undergone ten operations since the tragedy.
Sunshine Coast Police revealed last month that the blaze at Golinski's Tewantin property could have been caused by candles on their dining table or by the lights on their Christmas tree.
The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
