Katy Perry 'comforted by Travie McCoy following Russell Brand divorce'

Katy Perry is reportedly being comforted by ex-boyfriend Travie McCoy following her split from Russell Brand.
The singer began dating the Gym Class Heroes frontman in 2008 after appearing in the band's video for 'Cupid's Chokehold'. They ended the relationship in 2009.
"There will always be a connection between us. I'll always be there for her. When you've been in a relationship like ours, you will always make time for that person," McCoy told The Mirror.
Perry is said to have written 'Circle the Drain', which features on her Teenage Dream album, about her split from McCoy and his addiction to prescription drugs.
"Katy was there for me through my hard times when things were really bad," he added. "Life goes on. I have regrets about the way we ended. But there are no grudges any more between us. I'll always be there for her, she knows that.
"Do I think she got married to Russell too fast? When you're feeling it, you're feeling it. You can't help how you feel. I've said to Katy stay away from the internet. It's the biggest mistake I made, and that's when things went sour with us."
It was previously reported that Brand filed for divorce because he was jealous of Perry's bond with McCoy.
