Nick Cannon: 'I'm completely healthy now'

Nick Cannon has assured his fans that he is completely healthy after being hospitalised for kidney problems last month.

The star was rushed to a Colorado hospital while on vacation with wife Mariah Carey in January. Carey first suggested that her husband had suffered "mild kidney failure", but Cannon later clarified that he had simply overworked his body.

Cannon was in Indianapolis, IN this past weekend to host Super Bowl festivities, where he told reporters that he is in fine form once again.

"[The Super Bowl] is a great place to get back and debut the healthy Nick," he joked in a chat with The AP.

"Everybody's out here having a good time, and you know people were worried like, 'Is he going to be able to do the Super Bowl pre-show?' But I am 100% feeling good right now."



Cannon went on to say that changing his diet has been one of the key components in restoring his health, but added that he is on a very different eating plan than wife Carey.

"I used to be a fast-food junkie. She gets to have higher protein, which isn't fair because I love my steaks and I can't eat that anymore," he joked.

Cannon recently announced that he will be directing his first feature film, which he has described as "today's version of House Party".
