Chuck Norris has endorsed former US Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich to become the next president.
The film star has penned a column for WND, where he urged Republicans to cast their votes for Gingrich in upcoming primaries.
Norris wrote that he's been very impressed by the fire Gingrich has shown while debating the other Republican candidates and taking on the media.

He explained: "As a six-time undefeated middleweight world karate champion, I have a pretty good idea what makes a warrior. And there's presently one particular presidential candidate in the political ring who wears those gloves better than the others. Even when he's knocked down, he has astounding agility and rebound."
Norris also expressed his belief that Gingrich is the only politician who can overcome what he refers to as the "trifecta of tyranny: Mitt [Romney]'s treasuries, the [mainstream media] and the GOP elite".
The actor previously endorsed former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee in the 2008 presidential election and has also backed other conservative candidates.
Norris's endorsement of Gingrich comes on the heels of Donald Trump announcing his support for Romney last week.
Romney has said that he is "honoured" to have the endorsement of Celebrity Apprentice star Trump.
> Jersey Shore star Snooki: 'I want Donald Trump to be president'
> Roseanne Barr to run for US president as Green Party candidate
