The Hunger Games star said that he admires Gosling's approach to the craft and considers him to be an inspiration in his own career.
"I'm a big fan. I like his subtleties and how he really internalises a lot of the emotion," Hutcherson said in an interview with Elle. "And for me, that's kind of my style. So, he's definitely a big person to look up to."
The 19-year-old was also asked to define his personal style, which he found to be slightly more difficult.
"My personal style has seen so many highs and lows. Probably more lows than highs. Now, I don't even know what I'd call my style. T-shirt and jeans style now is where I'm at. Maybe a little rock 'n' roll T-shirt and jeans," he said.
Hutcherson has described the build-up to the release of The Hunger Games as "crazy", admitting that he felt the pressure of the high-profile role.
