Katy Perry, Russell Brand reach divorce settlement

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have reached a divorce settlement.
The former couple, who married in October 2010 in an elaborate Indian ceremony, split in December when Brand filed for divorce.
Perry and Brand, who settled the financial aspects of their split on Tuesday (February 7), were granted a divorce by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marc Marmaro, with court records showing that all three parties have signed off on the judgment.
The divorce will not become official until July 14, as California law requires married individuals to wait six months after filing.
The AP also reveals that the court documents called for a restoration of Perry's maiden name, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. Other details of the settlement remain confidential.
Perry recently avoided reporters at the Super Bowl as she was "not ready" to discuss her marriage to Brand.
