Donald Trump has said that Gisele Bundchen was simply defending her husband Tom Brady when she slammed his New England Patriots teammates' performance at the Super Bowl.
Bundchen was widely criticised in the press and on social media for her reaction to being heckled by a New York Giants fan after the Patriots' Super Bowl loss on Sunday.
The supermodel responded to the heckling by declaring: "They did not catch the ball when they were supposed to catch the ball.
"My husband cannot f**king control the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Celebrity Apprentice star Trump has now come to Bundchen's defence, telling Access Hollywood that the model has nothing to apologise for.
"She's standing up for her man and Gisele didn't do anything wrong," Trump insisted. "She happened to be right. [The Patriots] were dropping balls all over the place."
Trump also admitted that he's a big fan of Super Bowl champions the New York Giants and predicted that they will repeat their victory next year.
"I think the Giants will be back again next year. They have a great coach, they have a great team, they have a fantastic quarterback - I think they're gonna be back," the mogul said.

Trump stars in the upcoming fifth season of The Celebrity Apprentice, which premieres on Sunday, February 19 at 9/8c on NBC.
