Bobbi Kristina banned from seeing Whitney Houston's body

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina has been denied access to her late mother's body.

The only child of Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown got into a verbal fight with police officers outside her mother's hotel room, TMZ reports.

When officers informed Houston's daughter that no-one was allowed to view the body, Bobbi Kristina cursed and screamed, begging to be allowed inside her mother's hotel room.

Also present was Whitney Houston's cousin and fellow singer Dionne Warwick, who was asked to leave the premises by the officers.

Houston was found dead yesterday in her fourth floor room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, apparently getting ready to attend mentor Clive Davis's annual Grammys pre-party. Davis proceeded to hold the party that night in tribute to Houston's legacy, with guests including Brandy, Tony Bennett and Alicia Keys.

Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan are expected to perform a tribute to Houston at tonight's Grammy awards.
