Demi Lovato's ailing father: 'Please call your daddy'

Demi Lovato's estranged father has made a final plea for forgiveness to his daughter.

Patrick Lovato will soon be undergoing a risky surgery to remove a malignant tumour in his throat and is desperate to reconcile with Demi before it's too late.

In an exclusive interview with Radar, he pleaded with the former Disney Channel star to call or visit him in hospital.

"Demi and I haven't spoken in so long, all I want her to do is call her daddy," Lovato says.

Patrick says he is still hopeful that the two can repair their damaged relationship as father and daughter. There is no word yet whether Demi will take him up on his offer for reconciliation.

Lovato, who has been estranged from her father for more than a decade, has struggled with an eating disorder and drug addiction in the past. She recently revisited her treatment centre in LA to speak about her experiences with addiction.
