The Australian singer, whose wife Jules Egan is expecting their first baby next month, said that the imminent arrival of the child made him want to write about how he wants to be a good father.
Sebastian told the Herald Sun: "The creative juices have been flowing a lot; I feel super-inspired. I should be finishing the record, but I started writing this song because it's just over a month before the little bub arrives; it's March 18."
Although he is still working on the song, he revealed that the lyrics include the line: "You don't have to worry... I won't let the big bad world get ya."
Sebastian also revealed that he recently discovered the current trend for dads-to-be buying their pregnant wives a "push" present for when she is in labour. He said: "That was something I didn't know; that you have to get your wife a 'push' present for going through labour."
He also said that he is "trying to prepare for becoming a father" but admitted that it feels "weird" because he still "feel[s] like a kid... a kid having a kid".
