Whitney Houston autopsy results in 'security hold'

Results of an autopsy on the late Whitney Houston will not be immediately released due to an investigation into the singer's death.
The 48-year-old was found dead in her Beverly Hills Hotel room yesterday (February 11). Reports suggest Houston was found in her bathtub by a member of her team yesterday afternoon.

As previously reported, an autopsy was carried out today (February 12). However, speaking at a press conference, Los Angeles Deputy Coroner Ed Winter said that the results have been placed in a "security hold" at the request of detectives, who have launched an official investigation into Houston's death.
Some reports indicate that it could be up to six to eight weeks before this is completed.
Asked about reports alleging that prescription drugs had been found in Houston's room, Winter said: "I'm not going to comment on any of the meds or prescriptions that were obtained. As I said, it is a security hold."

However, he did tell reporters that some details could be available tomorrow (February 13), depending on how 'comfortable' investigating detectives are releasing the information.
Meanwhile, Houston's only child 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown was released from hospital this evening, hours after she was taken by ambulance from the same Los Angeles hotel.
