Celine Dion has suggested that "bad influences" were responsible for Whitney Houston's downfall.
The 'My Heart Will Go On' singer called into Good Morning America on Monday (February 13) to discuss the shocking death of Houston , who admitted to using drugs in the years before her passing.
Dion commented that Houston's death only reinforced her fear that "show business" often destroys its most talented stars.

"I am so scared. I'm scared of show business. I'm scared of drugs. I'm scared of hanging out," Dion said. "That's why I don't do parties and I don't hang out. That's why I'm not part of show business. We have to be afraid."
She also compared Houston's death to the losses of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, saying: "When you think about Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse, to get into drugs like that, for whatever reason.
"Is it because of the stress and bad influence? What happens when you have everything? What happens when you have love, support, the family, motherhood? You have responsibilities of a mother and then something happens and it destroys everything."
Dion went on to say that she will always treasure her happy memories of her time with Houston.
"Whitney has been an amazing inspiration for me. It's just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people or bad influence took over," she commented. "It took over her dreams. It took over her love and motherhood."
An autopsy was completed on Houston on Sunday, but the coroner's report was not immediately released because an investigation into her cause of death is ongoing.
Los Angeles Deputy Coroner Ed Winter declined to comment on whether illegal or prescription drugs played a role in Houston's death.
