Hugh Hefner's eldest son has reportedly been arrested for attacking his girlfriend in California.

Marston Hefner allegedly attacked his girlfriend Claire Sinclair, the current Playboy 'Playmate of the Year'.

Police officials revealed that they were called to the Pasadena home of the couple after a Sinclair family member claimed Marston had attacked her.

Sinclair was found with visible injuries on her body, including several bruises and red marks, reports TMZ.

Marston is said to have admitted to having an argument with Sinclair, but denied striking her. Sinclair reportedly told police that Marston had punched her and kicked her in the stomach before refusing to leave the property.

He was promptly arrested for misdemeanour domestic violence, before being taken to a local police station. He was bailed on $20,000 several hours later.

Claire Sinclair and Marston Hefner have been dating on and off since August 2010. She was crowned 'Playmate of the Year' in 2011.

Hugh Hefner received the 'Humanitarian of the Year' award from Angelwish yesterday (February 12).
