Bravo has said that there are no plans to re-release Being Bobby Brown.

Being Bobby Brown was a 2005 reality series starring the New Edition singer and then-wife Whitney Houston which followed their turbulent relationship. While the programme drew high ratings, Houston later refused to grant permission for a DVD release.

According to The Huffington Post, Houston's friends, family and business associates were said to be "terrified" that Bravo may decide to repurpose the footage following the singer's death on Saturday.

"These tapes terrify her family and managers," a friend of Houston's told the website.

"They want to preserve her image as the greatest singer of our generation, not as the troubled wife of Bobby Brown, who turned her from an icon into a joke."

However, a spokesperson for the Bravo network insisted that they will not release Being Bobby Brown or any of its contents in future.
