The 'Coming Home' rapper was asked about Houston's tragic death during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Diddy recalled being invited to Houston and Bobby Brown's wedding early in his career, but said he came to know the singer best during her later years.
"Throughout the years I got to meet her. She was so full of life, so full of joy," Diddy told Ellen Degeneres.
The rap mogul continued: "[Whitney] always made you feel like she noticed you… She will definitely truly be missed."
The Diddy-Dirty Money star previously paid tribute to Houston at Clive Davis's pre-Grammys party, which was held mere hours after the singer had died.
Diddy told those at the Davis party: "Whitney, simply put, had the greatest voice in the world. She was a gift from God."
Houston will be laid to rest on Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. The service will be streamed on the internet and on television.
Diddy's full interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs today (February 16).
