Kim Basinger is due in court after Alec Baldwin said she had broken an agreement over their daughter Ireland.
The actor alleged in court documents that Basinger had broken previous orders. He claimed she had not told him when she was away on work so he could look after the 10-year-old and had failed to inform him on an occasion when the girl was injured.
Los Angeles judge Robert Schnider has ordered the actress to appear in court on October 4 to defend her actions.
Basinger has denied the claims. "This is nothing more than continued harassment," said her lawyer Neal Hersh. "These allegations are specious and Kim looks forward to her vindication."
The pair ended a seven-year marriage in 2000.
